This week for my VAM 30 special project I worked on a multitude of pages. Firstly, I did some major detailing on the second page, I've improved the flooring, almost finished the details on the stairs, and added a sign for the bar on the wall. For this page I believe there is not all that much left to do, I don't plan to add much more details to anything but the stairs which will be finished on my own time. After this I made a beta version of the cover for the book, I haven't drawn anything out yet but I've played around with a reptile scale background and Ouroboros clip art. This will be the inspiration for what I actually plan to draw, which should also keep a similar colour pallet. Lastly as of Wednesday this week I restarted the third page of the novel, this is because the previous version of this page was too complicated, the proportion was off, and it would've been too much work to fix. Currently, I'm working on finishing the line art for this page and if I'm able to work on it this weekend I hopefully should have it done. By the end of next week, I'm hoping to have the base colours done on the third page and move onto shading.

Starting off this week, or rather last weekend, I decided to work on some finer detailing on the first page as it was still looking a little bit bland to me. I'm quite happy with how it has turned out, I may go back for some more minor detailing once again this weekend however my priorities will most likely be in the second page as I'd like it finished no later then next Wednesday . I have gotten a splendid amount of progress done on the second page this week, I've fixed my terrible colour pallet I had before, the pool table, added some stools, some detailing to the stairs, and some beers to the wine rack. I plan to finish the stair detailing next and after that add some detailing to the wall, flooring, and add a person or two into the scene. Some of the lighting and shading may need to be adjusted but overall this page has the look I was initially going for, all that's left now is to add the details and objects that will further set the mood. This week of my VAM 30 special project has been one of my most productive weeks. I've learned how to use my drawing tablet more efficiently thanks to daily sketches I've been working on; in turn, this page's work has gone by much faster. I've fixed the creases of Ryan's trench coat and completed his shoulder pad details. Shading and highlighting have been improved and the sky aspect of the image almost complete. All that is left to do is minor detailing on the background buildings. Regarding this week I've learned a great deal on gradients, brush pressure, and Photoshop shortcuts. Next week I will be moving onto finishing the second page of mine.
This week for VAM I've been hard at work on the first page of my novel, I have imported the background from Adobe Illustrator into Photoshop and I've touched up several details on Ryan. Details such as his shirt, abs, hair, shoulder pads, mouth, nose, ears, and trench coat have all been worked on, his face at this point is also basically complete, all I have to do is remove the pink lining. Aside from this, I've added in a gloomy sky using the gradient tool which may be changed later on to show more contrast between the two rows of buildings. I need to add more details to the buildings, the sky, as well as Ryan's trench coat before this page is complete. I don't plan to go too much further in depth with this page however unless I find time outside of class as I still need to finish the other two pages I've started. This week has been pretty productive and I'm hoping with the pace I'm going at that I should be able to complete this page soon.
This week for my VAM 30 special project I find has been a great learning experience as I got a new drawing tablet earlier this week, the amount of practice I've gotten to do with it while working on finishing my first page of my visual novel has been great! The most notable progress this week has been the eyes, I've almost fully illustrated them with my new tablet alone and I'm quite proud with how they've come out. While working on the hair I've learned a bit more on things regarding light and shading which should help me in the future work of this visual novel. Besides that, I've done some touch ups on the hair, made some eyebrows, and am currently working on the nose and mouth. Next week I plan to continue working on this page whether it be Ryan (the dude I'm drawing in the picture below) or the background which should be imported to Photoshop shortly.
